Jamie Makes National News Twice
Although Jamie has worked around political topics and with governments for almost a decade, she’s new to running for Congress - but her message is starting to get amplified. Upon the launch of the MAD Act, Jamie has been covered in National News twice. One outlet gave her a nickname: the “glamorous candidate.” For Jamie, politics is anything but glamorous. Not only has she experienced threats via phone calls from a local politician, attempting to bully her into dropping out by threatening to “ruin her life,” but Jamie is also dedicated to raising further awareness and normalize discussion about some of the darkest issues that our nation faces: an expanding surveillance state which will be made worse with AI, the powerful Epstein network, autonomous warfare, harms against children, corruption in the White House, and a reckless executive branch. This includes levying warranted and healthy criticisms of the Democratic establishment that has allowed these issues to develop unchecked, even though Jamie is running as a Democrat herself. But Jamie is not here to just talk, she brings solutions to the table and hopes to contribute to a reform the Democratic Party into a force that is unafraid at implementing massive reform. Because the job of Congress is to write laws to rein in corrupt and tyrannical power-seekers and protect our civil liberties. We just need congressional members to be brave enough to wield that power and savvy enough to draft solutions based on expertise. Because everything that we can agree is good, like affordable housing, a clean environment, healthy food, healthcare, and justice for all is downstream of a government that actually works for us. We just have to root our corruption first. How can we do that? Pass laws like The MAD Act.
